Was a sad day when you sold that camper, but it's in good hands with @jonburtt that's for sure. Excited to see your and @Iggy product come to market!

That thing is nice and it already sits pretty low. But if you look through the gallery, I don’t think anyone is running tires larger than 30”. Definitely agree with adding wheel wells and keeping a low COG (and fitting dirtyfives). Getting into it is much easier as well.

I priced it out with the options shown in the video. Converted it was $18,964.52 USD. And that’s without the flatbed.

We do plan to produce a version like the V1.1 (still not sure on that title), but are trying not to get ahead of ourselves.

As far as the wedge vs. straight up... the wind and stability could be an issue. The FWC is about as high as I’d want to go with that style popup. Then the height above the mattress is way lower. This is all IMHO, but I do have some experience with that style camper...

They don’t show the closing process of the camper. The FWC’s ends fold in with the panels and you just have to deal with the sides. With that style, you’d be playing the crying game with all that tucking. ;)

If 2% of you got that joke, it was worth it.

Thanks fellas! Can’t wait to share info with all of you. We’re well underway and appreciate everyone’s patience.

I just happen to have started watching the crying game last night. Well the 1st 10 minutes.

Good points. The main features I find appealing are the outside access to the camper kitchen bits. I come from backpacking style camping. I fear too much comfort.

Either way, I have a feeling with all of your experience you guys are going to make beutiful campers unlike anything on the current US market.

I’d say good luck but you don’t need no stinkin luck.

Edit: yeah it’s like $25k or something bu the time you’re done.

What are your thoughts on side entry vs rear entry.

No, not that side and rear entry. I mean where to put the door.

Mostly looking for solutions to the bike being in the way of the rear door.

Sadly, it seems that V2 of the product may not be a flatbed version, which means a side door will be virtually impossible. This brings up an interesting question though since I'll probably have the same issue when I put my motorcycle on the hitch and want to go on road trips. I'll probably just unload/load the motorcycle up to get in and out but agree that it would be nice to have one less thing to do.

I think the best setup for you would be a flatbed + 4Wheel Camper (or similar) with side door. The issue I see with this is having a long enough hitch extension that the motorcycle will still fit without the handlebars hitting the rear of the camper.

Side door would be awesome, but is definitely not for everyone. And would require a flatbed. I really like the idea of having both and changing the configuration based on the season. Like keeping the rear shut and putting a kitchen cabinet against/ attached to it in winter, and using the bigger rear hatch for summer when you’re usually cooking outside.

We’re focusing on the V2 but have discussed a side door for a flatbed model.

Is it just me but does that guy look like he's a microsecond away from a a world of hurt?! Plate of food, drink, bare feet, 3 ft drop onto gravel and it looks like his left foot might be stuck behind that bar thingy.

My nighbor has a Wilco tire swing out....super nice.

The hitchswing load limit when it’s within 3’ is 300#.
The bike in my pick is 320 pounds dry.

Ahhh gotcha. Local store Adventure Ready puts an UBCO bike on the back of theirs, but I just looked it up and it’s only 130 lbs.

    Just the basics
I've got a Wilco Tiregate that I haven't used yet. Most likely will this summer. It is all about the weight involved.

Mark, it really depends on the laminate, core and construction. There are so many variations. Foam core (sandwich), aluminum honeycomb, carbon fiber honeycomb... and many different laminates. And thickness.

I personally think it takes many years of experience to get it right for production purposes. I've watched so many builds on Expo, over the past decade, that have utilized composite panels for the structure. The process was very labor intensive and the learning curve was steep.
