I've done 3 placement matches and have had all losses. 7 more to go. I'll be lucky to get silver at this rate.

 

you'll place close to where you ended season 4, barring the game decides that your individual performance was severely lacking.

I placed really low compared ot where I ended up in season 3, but in all the matches i played afterwards the game decided I'm playing above my current bracket...so it gave me TONS of SR per win (highest I counted was 48 SR) and really minimal losses (8-10 SR). You will always end up where you belong by the end of the season, given you play consistently.

 

So you're saying I have a shot to place in diamond. Got it.

 

haha. To put it in perspective, season 2 I ended up pretty low, didn't play very much...like around 2100. Season 3 placements I won 9/10 and I still placed around 2100.

I saw you guys on this weekend but just couldn't gurantee I could stay on long enough and didnt want to screw up your team comp. I'll be on the next couple of evenings though. If you ever see me on feel free to invite me to the group and I'll always join. I have instructed my daughter to accept if she sees an invite come up.

Her comp should be built this week and she will then be on her own account.

Yeah she has a copy and an account...just no comp to run it on. Too much hassle to log out and log in on hers. We hot seat 2 matches a piece. She plays two matches and then I play two matches. If you see me on a match playing mei, d.va, Widow, or Ana, chances are its a 10 y/o girl at the keyboard. She is savage as mei.

 

This is the best Mei. I hope she does the wave after she gets those kills.

I lost my first 3 in a row, I've now won 4 in a row. Just a few more to go to be placed. Right now I'm anticipating high silver / low gold which is where I was in season 2.

I kinda would rather place low and climb the ladder than to be placed high and watch the rank fall or plateau at a rank. Season 2 frustrated me to the point where I stopped playing because of the way they used to treat win streaks / loss streaks / ties. They've changed that now so rank fluctuation should be a bit more reasonable.

 

Does she play reaper like this?

 

I try not to get too tilted about the losses. I'll end up where I end up. I can always work my way up, like you said.

I lost 7 and won 3 during placement. Got placed 2546 SR My current record is 20L 10W 1D - sitting at 2505. My 8 year old daughter is doing better than me lol she's mid plat

 

Did another placement match. First round went easy peasy. Second one, not so much. I ran zarya for attack, and did some amazing bubbling on the healers and the fool hearty rein. On defense, I could not keep up with protection and tanking. I'll have to watch the VOD to see what I did wrong, or maybe I should have switched.

Ah, learning experiences.

 

Placed at 2273 SR, which is higher than all my other seasons so I guess that's improvement.
