Just a heads up, expect a wait from campsaver.. Mine still hasn’t shown up. Sounds like ovs was having covid related delivery issues.
Hopefully it shows up before spring!

True. Mine was delayed a few months... shipping issues from the origin.

So I cancelled the Passenger-side mount and went with Driver-side. I feel this will work better with future additions (swing-bumper) and on the Jeep (swing-gate). I ordered straight from OVS. Put the awning in my cart and closed it. They later sent me a 5% off coupon to get me moving along, making it $569.99 OTD. Should ship 12/14/20 but I'm in no hurry with winter here.

I have the 180 awning and it’s beefy. Weighs in at roughly 45 lbs and isn’t as low profile as the others, but the coverage is awesome.

I’ve used it twice since receiving it a couple months back and it held up like a champ.

They provide 3 heavy duty brackets to mount onto your roof rack, and it could be flipped either way if you desired more of a low profile look.

I would recommend, however, that you use some light duty ratchet straps to keep the tension of the awning. It loses some of the tension with the supplied straps it comes with.

Any idea if those brackets will work with a Prinsu rack? Certainly look beefy enough.

It should, yes. I have the Uptop rack and it basically has the same aluminum bar design with the tracks. Had no problem installing them.

From the picture of the bracket, the tracks on the aluminum bars align with the middle holes and the holes on either side. There was no need to play around with it to have the bolts screw in.

Also, because of it being on the heavier side, I used 4-5 screws for each bracket just in case.

Did campsaver charge you immediately or when it actually shipped?

Thanks. I think I am going to order it through them and use the coupon. Any idea on how long a buyer has to dispute a charge? Incase it drags on for 6 months without the awning.

I will chat with them about it later today and see what they say about refunds.

Not sure, but when I checked the ovs site a week or so ago it said the 270 awnings were expected to be in stock today. Hopefully that means campsaver is getting some.
The customer service guy I talked to a few weeks ago at campsaver was pretty helpful as far as giving me what info they had on timelines from ovs.

I emailed OVS last week and he said sometime early Dec. I just checked the OVS site and now you can add them to your cart, no backorder or expected dates showing. So maybe showed up.

Mine finally showed up Dec. 29th, the day after I left to drive out to Texas to camp haha.
For anyone curious about mounting this on a Prinsu rack, you will have to buy different carriage bolts and nuts other than the ones included with the awning. (They are too big to fit in the slots on the rack)
Did a mock up today to see how it fits. I’m gonna leave the mounts on but only put the awning on when I’m gonna use it. Everything looks pretty good other than one dented pole that probably happened in transit. (Box was pretty beat up looking)

Mine just showed up. Did brackets and other hardware show up in a separate box? I received only the awning.

This is helpful as someone who has been on the fence, does anyone have any experience with comparison to 23Zero?

Any experience in the wind with these yet? In CO, the winds can kick up quickly, and I'm worried about things getting broken and torn.

I had the same question. I decided to just order it (should ship end of April/early May). With all the guy lines and poles, perhaps with some consideration in wind direction while parking, I think it would be alright in decent winds.
Sorry I’m not more helpful. I’m taking mine to the beach in Outer Banks for Memorial Day, so I’ll have more info then.
