Tried to find a part number for the dump tube gaskets and its confusing as hell, Toyota comes up with 17173-0P040 and lists it as the exhaust manifold to head but other sites show it as from the dump tube to the header. Anybody know which gaskets should be used?

After reading codes and messages to Mat, seems the problem was on my end. All seemed well, but I removed and reinstalled the sensors with a thin bead of copper rtv and have made it 23 miles and no CEL.

Never made it past 20 in the past.

Pretty much a good sign the issue is remedied.
I will only post again if I get another CEL.

    Again: 91/4.88/decatted tune, 04B04

Did you use any antiseize on the threads to begin with. May have the same issue with the CELs (used a bit of permatex antiseize on my O2 sensor threads but may need to go the copper rtv route).

Is the problem that the electrical contact of the O2 sensor is bad with an anti seize compound or is there a possibility of a leak if the RTV compound is not used?

Gasket maker would make me assume it's a sealing issue but the antisieze I used was not exclusively copper (blend of aluminium, copper, graphite I think... looked silver (permatex)). I don't know enough about O2 sensors so I can't answer your question (or mine). I kinda want to be able to remove the O2 sensors if the future so gasket maker would make that a real bear, I think. Also assumptions make an... you get it.

    Edit: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl3aD1qJrEg)

Edit #2: Pulled both sensors and I "may" (definitively did) have put too much antisieze on one of the O2 sensors threads and now it's on the sensor and it's probably fried... S$#@.

No I did not use any antiseize. I'm thinking I might have threaded one sensor wrong or not tightened it enough. They certainly felt like they went in smooth. No idea really.

Just to be clear, before the dump tube specific tune, I tried some O2 sensor extensions with catalytic material in them and I tried them in downstream, then upstream, then in all four ports so I was in and out of each port a couple times. They did not work in any of those configurations so I trashed them. I then reinstalled the sensors normally last week. Then yesterday flashed the new tune, still got the CEL, then removed and reinstalled the sensors with the rtv (very thin bead) and now it seems to be working just fine. I only applied the rtv because of the possibility I might have lessened thread integrity in one or more ports.

    Good luck!

@L-SCHLEGS which catted tune file did Mat give you? Still no CEL? Is it the same beta catted tune he posted a couple days ago? I installed my catted dumps today and loaded the beta 91 catted tune and got a CEL after about 40 miles (P0420 and P0430).

My spec-u exhaust use to have a bit of hissing noise and it got worse with the dump tubes. I guess more flow more hiss, or I have a exhaust leak somewhere.

We have a few people now who are letting us know that with the catted tubes and full URD exhaust they are still getting the CELs. This is not something we could have known or anticipated would happen, as this does not happen testing on stock exhaust.

If you get this we recommend running our decat tune.

Thank you everyone for all the great information in this thread!

I'm waiting on the users with the catted dump tubes paired with the URD y pipe to confirm running the catless tune will yield no CEL. I have the tubes waiting for install but want to make sure no CEL as this is for my dad's truck. Also, does anyone or Matt recommend running a heat shield or wrap with the new tubes? Thanks in advance and Happy Sunday!

So far we have 3 people with confirmed CELs and catted, all of which have URD exhaust.

No reports for trucks that retained stock mid exhaust

@Phich thanks for passing along the info about Copper RTV. Have my driverside (bank #2 Sensor #1) O2 sensor put back in with RTV and didn't apply any (used copper antiseize tho) when I removed/replaced bank 1 sensor 1 (passenger upstream sensor) for the second time. Code P043000 (bank 2 cat threshold not met) has not been thrown since I put RTV on threads of B2S1. Code P042000 (bank 1 cat threshold not met) has been thrown consistently since installing new catted manifold (dump tubes). About to apply RTV to bank 1 sensor 1 and should be good to go (will post an update). Thank you TW and OVTune...

Edit: I also found this helpful when looking at sensor data.

Just installed decatted tubes. Stock y with mbrp 3" catback. Took a little over 2 hours doing it by myself on the ground. Only hard part was getting the driver's side stock cat out because of the steering shaft. I removed the bracket mounts off of the transmission and the y pipe from its rubber mounts as was suggested on here and I don't think I would've been able to get that side out without doing so. Some here have said they would have to bend the brackets to get alignment to new tubes but I found that by starting the threads and leaving them loose on the transmission bracket bolts then attaching it to the dump, then tightening them all down before attaching the y pipe to the tubes, everything lined up pretty much perfectly. The bolts were VERY tight threading into the dump tubes for the bracket, almost to the point I thought I was going to snap a bolt. Probably should've re-tapped but they're in there(maybe permanently) now. Flashed immediately after 04b13 decatted 87oct tune and all is good thus far with the cluster and seems to be leak free.
