I completely agree. This is just some personalization to a killer @OVTune tune.

Yep. I’m letting tony experiment. There’s also a new version of vF coming this week where we can remove throttle limits. I think that’s gotta be somehow related as well

I do agree. This is something that needs a lot more feeling out. Just like @OVTune extensively tests prior to others getting the goods.

Going to flash "mod 2" now and drive... we'll see if it is any better than my previous file.

Airload mod only, no throttle smoothing yet..

    Here goes.

So far so good. Truck is through initial learn process and settling in on Mod 2 file. Low end still good, smooth acceleration so far. Too early to judge MPG, but this was acceptable after a combination of highway, back roads, from mild cruising to WOT pulls.

    Hell yeah!

It looks like I am holding steady this morning. I'll know more as time goes on.

I'm playing with this smoothing thing for giggles. I see a lot of smoothing at the tops of the charts, which seems to correlate to higher RPM's and Engine Loads. Should we be smoothing the green stuff as well? Is the goal to make this 3D chart as linear as possible, or should we leave some kinks in it? @OVTune

I did smooth all four maps, but I am still struggling with twitchiness at tip in.

Stellar everywhere but getting on the throttle and Cruise Control.

I’ve been playing with the smoothing and I can make the 3D chart a flat plate if I want and still keep the color gradients in family with original tune. I just don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.

It’s fairly easy to highlight cells and “CTRL+I” and work in overlapping patterns to totally flatten it out. Target red gradient in top right, some bottom right, some just right to left, etc...based on what the stock file was doing. I just don’t know if that dip early on is beneficial.

I am trying to figure that out myself. The full flat plane was tempting.

I have a tune with this mostly done to the 4 air load maps, just afraid to run it until I understand it better. I’m just a monkey mashing on the keyboard at this point. I can make a pretty 3D table, but what’s it mean? @OVTune to the courtesy phone please...

    You are not alone sir!

The cruise control is something I forgot to mention....I can hold speed all day in 6th with my foot but I'll be damned if the truck can do it on it's own lol

Just for show and tell. Mat's 2.0 Premium Stock 33 non-THX on top, modified on bottom in both images. I tried to take out the sag in the lower end of the charts. I did this for both the 0.82 and 0.99 maps on both Control and Expected maps. Will this make the truck more snappy and sensitive to throttle inputs? Will it lower my MPG's by adding more air/fuel? Help us @OVTune, you're our only hope... What can these magnitude changes do to the truck? Suppose I could flash and test, but I'm chicken and my truck is my daily driver...

I think I did too much. It redid it and mostly kept to the upper end. Much better.

Wonder if it matters for AT vs. MT? Maybe I should suck it up and flash my more linear maps and see? Wish OV would give some hints.

    I updated the 1st Post.

I think I went too far. So, I put both versions up for comparison. The second version seems very nice.

i was about to dig in a little and play with this (while i'm sick as a dog and bedridden so have time), but it just hit me that i haven't seen anyone play with the dump tube tunes yet. @tonered and @MOC221_ are on SFOB but not dump tube, right? i'm on SFOB 93 dumps.

i seem to need some smoothing. it's inconsistent to show jerky accel, but when it comes it definitely comes. i just wonder if my values in these tables are outer limit due to the dump tube thing. i'm holding off editing for now until i get a little more perspective. if any of you have any thoughts.

@mZiggy are you on the dump SFOB?
