Exactly. I think as you get closer to know the figures, it is good to put this stuff out there as you want to avoid the typical internet volatility due to any perceived sticker shock. In the past I have seen people get all fired up about a mod like this and then when the real number comes down they treat the vendor as if they just robbed them of their happiness.

Keep up the good work sir, I will be following!

I've posted in here before about pricing. Expect it to be at least around what a S/C cost from magnuson.

OK, well...at 89 pages in it might be a good idea to put it and other key info on the opening post? It's easy to lose that kind of info amid the banter as I am sure you are well aware...;-)

At one time the estimated price was $5K. If it is too much more un-installed, I'll buy another truck instead.

The BOV in my Solstice is very audible, almost obnoxious. Not what you want all the time. Thinking about putting the stock air box back on. Not really a sound I want with my truck just to tow my camper.

Those who are complaining, how bout just going and building your own setup. Build it as cheap as you want and you only have to wait on shipping of parts. I swear half the 3rd gen owners act like toddlers.

I've built several open deck stock motors running ~500hp and daily drove them for years. All were under 15psi and are still running 10+ years later. As long as the boost and AFRs can be controlled properly there should be 0 issues with using the stock engine as is for the power increases that Mat is talking about.

lexus and lotus both have boosted versions of the 2gr, so its really not a pipe dream to push 500hp out of this motor. cause its already been done.

Is there a difference between the internals of the LS500 Turbo 3.5 and the Tacoma 3.5. All the talk on this forum suggests that there isn't.

    Good.

I have my direct experience to rely on for some things but this is a new motor for me so input from others who have also worked with FI is always appreciated. I just took my S/C'd 4.0 for a spin on errands, my god that thing pulls for days in any gear.

Let's get this 3.5L freaking BOOSTED!

Only time will tell but I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if upgraded fueling is not needed for modest ~100whp gains. The 2GR has Toyota's D4-S fueling system which utilizes both direct and port injection. Ford has a similar fueling system which works very well with boost (Ford GT, for instance). It will be interesting to see what Mat can pull off with factory fueling. If I had to take a guess, the HPFP will be the first bottleneck if there is one.

If this kit would put down 350 to the wheels in HP/TQ then then a Tacoma would keep up with a ecoboost rather easily. An still be much cooler to boot, cause its doesn't have a blue oval on the front. I`m in, 6K for the kit, lets do this shit.

I would consider this kit for sure. Had a supercharged JK and it turned it into a beast when I had 35-37” tires. Love the way boost feels although my 15’ 392 SRT charger is still my favourite of all time.
