3.5L Tacoma Base Kit performance :
Torque increase over stock: 145-150%% (340~350 ft lbs)
Horsepower increase over stock: 120-125% (320-325HP)
Peak boost psi : 6.5 psi

 

If you decided yet can I ask what size are the turbos and what boost are you aiming for?

IIRC he is using twin GT2560Rs, internally gated. As for a specific boost number, I haven't read anything, but he has hinted based on a few things he's said that we should be expecting easily over 75whp gains, though how much more hasn't been said.

 

Well that's what I posted awhile back on the other thread but he said he would be embarrassed to build a twin system with only 75HP.

Well, I have a TJM steel bumper with a Smittybuilt winch installed and am wondering if the Turbo install will interfere with all of this?

I agree, but they were supposedly “the pioneers” of force induction for the Tacoma. Haven’t shown me any motivation to help us. They are too busy with the Tundra and 4Runners. F that.

 

The intercooler is a TR1235
There will be 3 different turbos that can be selected, because the GT2560Rs are awesome but people may still want boost / spool faster.

 

Nice!! So I'm guessing we are looking at a 400HP Tacoma.

 

This sounds like a clean solution. I wish these trucks had 4 link rear suspension like the 4runners. No issue with wrap at these higher power levels, just all around superior (even stock lol). I cant imagine this truck with 400 ponies. what a sleeper! Everyone knows tacos are slow, until now...​

 

Can we run behind the grille light bars with the intercooler?

 

And for those of us who bought a tune, do we get any discount for buying a turbo kit as well?

I think it will be close depending on where it's mounted up front. It's about 3.5-4 inches thick.
