I'm trading my truck in and I have my OVTune hardware kit for sale. I've talked with Mat and he said that the hardware is transferrable as long as the new owner contacts him and purchases a new software license to go with it. Price of the software license is $325.

I'm selling the hardware kit for $400 plus whatever small amount of shipping there would be. Kits are $765 on his site and are out of stock for the time being. Just trying to recoup some of my cost.

It doesn't matter with the hardware whether you have auto or manual. This is just the interface between your truck and your computer. When you email Mat he will give you the proper calibration for your truck.

2018 Golf R likely. I like the truck but the engine kills me. I wanted it for some hauling and light towing and the manual trans, but it really doesn't truck well enough or car well enough for me to daily. I'll just pick up an older 2wd V8 pickup in the spring to tow with.

Coming from German cars and owning a German car repair shop, I've been spoiled by smooth engines and refinement. Live and learn.

German car repair shop must be lucrative business, considering everything other than drivetrain is always breaking on those.

All cars break. Modern vehicles are as reliable as modern home appliances. Consumable items lol

Better than stock. If I was keeping the truck I would def keep the tune. Especially with the continued development and refinement. Noticable off the line gains and mid range torque gains.

I had a 2007 BMW 335i... talk about an unreliable let down. That car spent more time in the shop than in my driveway. Told myself I'd never own a first gen of any vehicle again. The Tacoma has been a dream to own. I just know it's not a sports car and not a full size truck. Glad you're moving on instead of complaining, but seems like you had unrealistic expectations for it.

Yeah a lot of those late 2000's DI turbo cars, from a lot of manufacturers had issues. In the end I guess the responsibility lies at BMW's feet, but a lot of it can be put on the individual suppliers of the pumps and turbos etc. They were ultimately the ones building the faulty or substandard parts. Cost cutting has to happen somewhere as you transition from a premium brand to a mainstream brand.

I wouldn't complain about the truck. I think it did what it was supposed to do. The engine was a letdown for sure, but I did not want to daily a full sized truck and I did not particularly want an auto. I was pulling my small travel trailer with an 07 X3 so it was def a step up from that, but the 20 ft enclosed was a struggle haha. I can live with putting unrealistic expectations on it. I tried and it wasn't for me. Time to move on.

    Anybody want this tune hardware???
