I recently bought a pre owned 3rd gen with 25k miles. After doing some research, I have realized the best possible performance upgrade is the OVTune without going forced induction. I was looking on the OVTune website and it wasn’t clear to me exactly what I need to buy to install the tune onto my truck. Any help is appreciated.

    you will need to purchase:
    - the obd connector
    - vF tuning software
    - and the tune pack for your particular ecu to have the files to flash

it's a process and you'll need to get your system id from vF after install, send it to OV, and you'll get a master key to unlock it.

If you already have an OBD cord do you still need both of these?

Is the odb cord a tactrix or cheap knockoff?

    this and that...
ovt is great and easily worth the price of admission. you do need to have some sort of semblance of computer know how though, thats the only caveat.

Following. I just purchased the exact two products for my 2020 Taco. I've never felt a transmission so reluctant to downshift before.
