Ya as it stands after flashing nothing I have done can get it past stock redline. It feels better but could be my imagination. Definitely not life changing.

When you hook the software back up to an already flashed truck, can you query the ecu to see what flash is on it?

Interesting. We'll see what @PapaRee knows.

Unfortunately, no. That is one of the features of the tune that it is undetectable. That is both on the TechStream side and the flash software side.

When I flash folks (TSBs or vF Tunes), I show them the computer screen that the flash was successful and that I did the Resets to clear out the old values.

Rev Limit default on the AT's for 2.0 tunes was 7,000 while it was 6,300 for stock.

Hey guys a side question on OV Tune 2.0, will the learned values reset if you disconnected the battery for 20 minutes??

Just wondering because I had an issue in December (check engine light) tried to clear it by disconnecting the battery and now the truck doesn't seem to have the same power consistently as it did before.

Should I get it re-flashed maybe?? Thanks

A battery disconnect will reset the DTCs.

The Learned Values can only be Reset using the vF Flash Tool or TechStream.

You should not have seen a change with a DTC reset / battery disconnect. Was there an issue that caused the CEL? A stored code.

You could do an LV Reset to get back to a blank slate. Re-flashing could help also, as long as there is no underlying issue with the CEL.

Thankfully the CEL cleared on it's own the same day we did a health check on Techstream and it hasn't come back. Just seems strange is all, after the flash the truck def held gear longer and had more low end power now it seems to want to upshift through the gears like when it was pre-tuned. I thought I read on here of cases where the AT in D (learning mode) would eventually revert back to stock??

CEL was for a knock sensor but according to TechStream there was no Miss-Fire or anything like that everything looked normal. It seemed like maybe a short somewhere in a harness but it hasn't come back. No evidence of Mice anywhere. I was going to bring it to the dealer but didn't see a point if the light cleared on its own.

Betting maybe it was some shit fuel possibly?? idk...

Also confirmed I am still running 2.0 premium I don't have VF or anything had it flashed locally.

Don't get me wrong I think the truck is better than when I bought it, it just seems off from when it was flashed in September.

Reversion was something that folks mentioned a lot on the older tunes. I haven't seen it noted on the 2.0 tunes. It was not an issue that I noticed on my Taco.

If you have TS, you can do the LV and AT Resets. There are screenshots for it in the ECU Update 1st Post. The Resets will not affect the tune that was flashed. Do the Resets on a warm engine and give it a 5min idle to set the baseline.

You should be able to get up to 7000 rpm on a tuned truck. Stock was 6300.
If you cannot, I'd get it flashed again. The custom tunes that people are flashing are much better than 2.0. Ask for a custom performance tune. And tell them that you want the RPM Limiter raised to 7000-7200.

I was the one who flashed his truck...after going back and forth, I see what the problem is. I used some of my credits to unlock 04B33 and here is the problem...the rev limiter wasn't updated to 7000 like the other files are.

Imma let him try the M+W tune...I personally did not like it on my truck (04B04) but he's local so if he doesn't like it I'll flash him back to regular 2.0

Ha, I grew up in Somers (between Enfield and the MA line). It was fine as it was a small down but moved to when I started working NC and now VA for family roots. I don't mind visiting lol
