In the old days, we called that the Fat Kid. It was the whole reason for the performance tune (Full Otto). Hahahaha! That will hopefully be the Tow tune when there is an update.

At those speeds, the Taco really isn't stressing unless your climbing the Rockies in summer. Of course, it is great that you are monitoring the situation. You're ahead of the game.

like straining up a hill pulling a 5100 lb trailer?
230 pan 250 tq. Changed the fluid a few weeks later after 55k miles for the first time. No funky smells and look slightly darker than fresh. I use OBD fusion

I thought you had a bumper along with the lift and tires? Cresting 5k empty would have me thinking that.

There's nothing wrong with being heavy. :D

It sounds like it is doing well overall though.

185* is normal operating temp, cruising, without excessive weight. Pinning the tstat will lower that by 10* or so with good airflow through the factory cooler. Works well just cruising or towing.

    Hey Dana,

Let’s get you in OTT 7.0. It’s been refined to address some of these concerns and I can reflash you Saturday evening on my way to Seattle if you like.

Happy to chat more in person or via phone. Let me know!

Just switched from KDMAX Pro+XT to the OTT tune and I've found that OTT is a significant improvement. Smoother shifting throughout and holds gears better, especially at hwy speeds (5th & 6th gears). No more lag and upshifting like before. Take from someone who started out with OVtunes, then KDMAX tunes, and finally OTT tunes; OTT is the best IMHO. Thanx John for a great tune!

The staff here on TW have come to an agreement that all major tuning threads will remain locked for a while. Why you ask? We get endless reports and messages regarding tuners bickering with other tuners or other unacceptable behavior. We are sick and tired of the immature actions and this is the last straw. The threads will be unlocked in one week. If there is ONE more instance of bickering, shitting on a competitors thread, or any more reports, we will remove all tuning threads and block it from future discussion. This is the last chance.

Side note: BST rules still apply to tuners. Don’t join TW just to peddle your tunes without actively participating in the community or you will find yourself banned.
