Again, I appreciate the offer and I'm sure I'll eventually get a tune of some sort installed but I'm just gonna run it stock for a while first.

@PapaRee , have you developed a new tune? I still love the way my Tacoma drives since you tuned my truck last year.

I will say, after more time on kdmax, that OV did have a greater punch of power in 2nd and third when really getting on the pedal. However, OV does lack the overall consistent and smooth power delivery which makes city driving much preferred.

@PapaRee I got flashed to OV tune and I’ve had some weird issues I’d like to discuss if you’d be willing to reach out! I’m really interested in the KD max and if it will sort out what I’ve experienced

A tank full in and I love it. It's definitely a performance tune. Even with the LT tune it's a bit touchy but, I will adapt. Overall I am happy and am glad I left the OVTunes I've used for years. Well worth the $100 I paid to flash it myself.

OVTune is a good tune for sure, I ran it for years. In my opinion, KDMAX is a better tune overall if you want performance and smoother shifting. I hope you like your newly tuned truck!

From my limited understanding, the KDMAX is not as optimal for my stock-ish rig... its a 19', SR5 DCLB with stock wheels and tires.... but again...my very limited knowledge of the two tunes.

I would suggest the SLT version for a stock rig just because the throttle is lighter than than the regular KDMax tune.

did you try @Mooseditty17 daily special tune? It’s amazing for daily driving with highway commute...the torque at freeway speeds to hold the momentum of the vehicle is unlike any tune I have felt since 1.03 (2017).

you might try this if you don’t prefer KDMax. Just a suggestion...
