Well not really. A lot of tacos drive just fine on stock tune, including mine.

I saw a guy in the Magnuson thread that still wasn't happy after the SC. I'm not on either side in this thread but making everyone happy is a giant task.

I'm going through things right now, should have this fixed within an hour

Shut up Patrick. What kind of Weasel tries to hack somones software and comes to a forum to openly brag about it. Just go play with your Ford F150 somewhere else.

Not true at all. But I am tired of the trolls on this forum, especially people like this guy patrick, who not only brags about trying to tamper with our software, but continually posts BS about us. Then goes on a tirade about "hurt feelings" when we pull his software license.

And look! he's back again to post his 2 cents.

So tired of it in fact I'm done being nice about it, saying sorry, or trying to go by the "customer is always right"...

it's always the people on tacomaworld who don't run a business who are the first to tell you

Personally speaking customer service is extremely important to me. I would be happy to pay more for your product if proper post-sale support was available. @tonered has been incredibly helpful with some basic stuff this week (mainly because of the faulty instructions I was attempting to follow) and he isn't even getting paid. Having a person like him on your staff just to handle these types of problems and inquiries is the kind of move that will win you a lot of business from people like me who have the money and want to spend it in places where we're supported post-purchase.

Put yourself in the shoes of the person who is attempting to reprogram their $45k truck and are depending on your support when they don't understand what's happening. You've got a great product, you just need to provide good customer support along with that product.

    Thanks!

    @OVTune has me covered.

I am limited though. I only have familiarity with some parts of the vF software and the nitty gritty of the 3rd Gens. I'm happy to help where I can though.

Tonered is provided things from us, which he requests, for his help. He is also an admin on our forum.

I provide as much post sale support as I can. And I explained why we get run down with inquiries so quickly sometimes.

sometimes our post sale support, or updates can be slow. It's the nature of 1 small company, 1 million tacomas.

But just ask around. Guys who purchased 4 years ago are still getting support from us, free updates, etc.

Even the ones who do nothing more than talk shit every single step of the way. They are really sad people on this forum.

Sorry man didn't mean to put you on blast but it's the only example I have personally.

I think a large share of inquiries are likely to be superficial in nature. The really deep nutty gritty topics are what these message boards are for. Some people (as OVTune pointed out earlier) are losing their minds just trying to figure out how to read their ECU. Thats where the support figures in.

See this is where my opinion (even as the business owner) differs from the customer. If you can't figure out how to press the READ ECU button, you shouldn't be expecting support. You should not be buying it. Because those people are the ones who buy, don't know what the heck to do, then complain.

I'll give you an example. When you buy a tacoma, toyota doesn't read each page of the manual to you. They expect you to do it.

Dude I hope it's clear I'm not bagging on you or your company. Personally I think you'd be more successful and profitable with just a little more tact and more staff to handle light inquiries.

No worries. I just wanted to clarify.

You're right. That has been most of the question.

I am actually not referring to you at all, no worries.

What I am saying is whenever a thread (such as this) posts up on TW, those very small group of circle jerkers are frothing at the mouth to come in and say some shit. I do apologize for my language.

Trolls will troll no matter what you say or do. The only thing you can do is your best, if people can't live with that let them hit the road to find other options. I appreciate the product you have supplied!

If that guy has an automatic, and was tuned before installing the SC, then I guess I can understand some disappointment. From the feedback I've read, Magnusson didn't tune transmission shift points etc. Lots of guys get the tune to change up just that. So, back to stock shifting you go.
