OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Auto - Transmission / Engine - ECU Reflash

I think his plan is to collaborate with turbosource on a Borg Warner EFR turbo setup. I’m sure he won’t be able to keep his hands off that supercharger though.

 

When this happens will we get an updated file if we already purchased the previous one?
Or would this go out as a new tune?

 

I guess in the future, when self-driving Toyotas become commonplace..
We'll have to fight with the steering wheel to go someplace other than "work" on the weekends.
The vehicle will have become accustomed to driving to "work" all week.

 

All customers receive updates, and custom tuning for future mods is included. The tune ain’t cheap, but you’re buying a product that will evolve both via his ongoing development and as you add things later down the road. Right now he’s still working to fully perfect the tunes and then I’d bet data logging and custom stuff becomes possible such as for SCs and turbos, exhaust, etc

thanks. Having fun with the build. It's getting there. Just can't decide on tire/wheel setup... Still loving the tune BTW. Last tank per Fuelly was 21.5 mpg.

How does winter gas effect the tune?


I know it's only a small part of the equation, but I loose 2-2.5 mpg the day they change the gas

 

My gas milage is going down because of the switch. The tune feels the same. This is normal for any vehicle I have ever had. They usually lose 1 or 2 mpg. Plus I let the truck warm up a little more which doesn't help.

 

Over the last week or so I've noticed my shifting is almost back to stupid and I have to use ECT if I want the same feel as when I first flashed 1.02c A (91)..
Also it seems to have lost a little on the engine tune as well but overall still feels pretty good.
Really hoping he can solve this puzzle as when I first flashed the tune it felt amazing.
Still way better then stock but hoping for more improvements that stick....

 

You have to stock this thread daily....hourly..... sometimes by the minute, then when they say its available go rush to the website with a credit card in hand and hope you get yours lol That's how I did it .

 

How many miles since you loaded the tune? For me the bad habits seemed to start returning to the transmission at around 300-350 miles. Same tune as you.

 

Mine was good for probably around 700 miles before I experienced the degradation. He's aware and working on limiting or eliminating the torque learning which seems to be the remaining culprit

 

Around 500 miles.

Once you notice it's starting to relearn the old habits, can you just re-flashed the tune and you'll be back to where you were in the beginning?
