    Just to be clear we would still be able to use “D” normally while ect is off?

    That setup would be how most would realistically use it.

    It would also be cool to have the TC lock up in that mode during WOT

    @OVTune This would be great! I know a lot of people have expressed interest, and the ability to selectively choose gear lock would make it that much more versatile. In my own opinion and i'm sure others will agree, loosing ECT function is a non-issue. It's pretty much worthless anyhow, especially with the tune enhancements.

    I’m down for ECT s mode shift lock, and ludicrous tune :D. But I’ll settle for shift lock.

    Wait a sec... I use ECT in S mode while towing my camper. Current state on 1.04 it helps. So what would this mean for me?

    Edit: My understanding is that ECT was there for towing, and that's about the only time I use it. So what exactly would this do? Are you changing shift points in S mode to make it more like using ECT (keeps gears longer), then when ECT mode is on it will only shift gears up or down if I manually shift it myself?

    You would have to shift it yourself. Basically when you put the truck in S mode and activate ECT it would become paddle shift at the stick.

    Reading on the other thread it looks like this would be a custom tune, correct? If this is true, then nevermind. Being half awake I just didn't want to see my towing in S4 or S5 in ECT mode go away.

    But this does sound pretty awesome as an option!

    I’m all for the idea of a simulated manual valve body transmission as long as I’m still able to use “D” on the days I don’t feel like shifting myself

    last car was a vw R32 with the DSG tranny. throwing it in D in a jam was nice. i guess.

    meh. no not really. I'm much happier in a true MT.

    Well, considering my area is prone to stop and go/bumper to bumper traffic, I would like to have “D” so I don’t have to worry about shifting. But then being able to shift my self on an open highway would be nice

    So with this, when driving normally in D, everything works as designed, but pressing ECT won't do anything while in D. With the shifter in S mode, it will still do its thing like normal. S mode with ECT on will make it so we have to shift up and down. This will be incredibly useful on highway drives!

    @OVTune will this modification hold a high gear even when slowing to a stop? So if you're driving in 4th or 5th gear in S-Lock, slow to a stop, will it shift down to first on its own or do we still need to downshift with the lever?

    OVTune, I'm very on the fence about your tune and about this truck in general. If there is a tune that lets me use the S mode on the shifter to pick a gear, and the truck will hold that gear even if I put my foot all the way to the floor... then you have another customer right here. I want to choose a gear and be able to make the truck hold that gear without downshifting. Make this happen and I'm your next customer.

    So I dont know why but my gopro was skipping video every 30 seconds / 1 min. So I tried to make the best video I could but there is 1/2 parts that skip, so you can see what I'm talking about

    Put it in S mode,
    Switch to S1
    enable ECT power
    you have total gear control.
