Only thing I want is the idle fix and S-mode gear lock!

After getting a pulsating idle on 1.05/87 version 1, flashed revision 1. Idles smoothly at 600 rpm. Throttle response feels better than ver. 1, but could be my imagination. No issues initially at 40 miles.

I just got my ovtune kit in the mail today!!! sweeeeeet! Now that I'm reading the instructions online I'm a bit nervous in regard to this
    upload_2019-2-7_12-12-53.jpg
I was going to use my girlfriends laptop but now I'm afraid it may crap out at some point down the road. What did the rest of you guys do? Go buy a new laptop to ensure it's going to last and be readily available? I don't understand if the tune etc is linked specifically to my truck why I can only ever use the software on just this one PC.
This isn't a dig on OVTune at all.. I'm super pumped to use this. I'm just not sure what to do.

So what do I get, the $600 or the $770 option? Dude locally has the cable, probably will just run 85(mountain fuel) or 87.

So I just flashed the 1.05 87 octane 04b30 file and took my 2019 for a spin. I was only out for about 15 - 20 minutes so maybe it's not fair to make a judgment just yet. I'm hoping there's a learning period or something but it seems like it's shifting from 2nd to 3rd way too fast for my taste. It also seems like it's shifting from 5th to 6th pretty quick as well. I've gotten used to driving in ECT mode with the stock tune so maybe the 87 octane file was totally wrong for me but I've got half a tank of 87 still in the truck. I've tried to read a lot in regard to the tunes in general but I'm unsure if the 1.05 04b30 is the newest release or not. Anyone else tried this version or have any thoughts on pro's / con's of the different revisions for octane? Thoughts anyone?

It has recently come to be known that the current version of 1.05 is the "mpg" tune. This is why its still upshifting so prematurely, getting into the higher gears as soon as possible. Sounds like when the new flash manager and 1.05 release, we will get some more performance oriented tunes.
