Stock ECU Tuning

Figured it would be easier to create a new thread dedicated to Software for tuning the 4.0L Tacoma.

Our software is now in beta and being improved and tested daily.

Some information about it, tables, etc

It is a complete 4.0L ECU Editor + Log View Software, with various tables and maps that are available in the stock ECU.

Tables like:
- Valve Timing
- Ignition Timing
- Fuel Control
- Shifting (AT)
- Engine Load / Torque control
- Transmission torque Control (AT)
- Throttle Control,
and much more.

With a stock vehicle....are there any gains to be had? Either MPG or HP/TQ?

Depends on how well you or someone else tunes it .

 

Very interested in seeing what people can do playing with the throttle and torque settings on the manual trans. I never liked the lagging response and rev hang between gears.

Where’s the button to disable catalyst monitoring and the secondary air injection junk?

 

I've got the beta software but I've not been able to get it working. Once I've got things up and running I'll have my own thread up (LINKED HERE ) where I'll be reviewing all aspects of the software and what you can expect from things. I'll be happy to address specific questions since Mat seems to be rather busy. Should you like to see something specific or have questions about particular features I'll address those as I'm able to get into the software.

 

I haven't sent you the editor yet, I'm adding in your ECU version first that's probly why. Newest version flash software needs dongle for any use, but older versions should identify ecu for you. However we don't need that since you had the code from techstream. Anyway I will get back with you via email

Mat, are you able to simplify the newer trucks automatic transmission shifting to an earlier version that doesn't have all the extras like traction control, and the learn feature?
