Not sure if this is the same noise/sound that's been indicated in other inquiries, so I'll go ahead and ask. I took a 2.5 hour trip in the truck, and when I came off the freeway and accelerated from the first light I stopped at, I heard a "hooting" sound that seem to pulse with the speed of the vehicle. It lasts a couple of seconds then stops. Did it all the way on surface streets until I reached my first destination. The truck was parked for a couple of hours, and when I drove off, the noise seemed to have gone away. I need to listen over the next couple of days, but I'm pretty sure this is going to be nearly impossible to replicate for the dealer.

Anyone had such a noise? Any clue as to the cause?

2017? I'd bet you need the lower control arms capped. Early 3rd gens made kazoo noises. There is a TSB for it where they instal plastic caps to cover the holes.

Crawl under your truck and snap a pic of the A arms and post it up.

I don't think that's what's causing the sound. It only does it when slowly accelerating from a stop, and it's never done it until I took the 2.5 hour road trip with the truck. It happens between 0-5mph, so I don't think there's enough air going across the control arms for that to be the cause. Also, it pulses with the speed of the truck while accelerating, like a brake caliper would, only it's a hooting-like sound.

It's not just dependent on vehicle speed. Air speed is what does it. Even if it's not it, I would check to see if your A arms are capped, I had mine covered with duct tape at one point. Has your truck had the TSB done?

Super easy to eliminate one known source of a noise on these trucks.

I get that same sound once in a while as well, but it does not always occur. It is not real loud but does have that hooting sound. Thinking it is a harmonic somewhere as it fades out pretty quick, lasting maybe 1-3 seconds. Off and on I have heard it for over 40k miles now so I am pretty sure it is nothing serious. Not enough to make me worry about it.
