Currently own a 2001 v8 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee v8 and its terrible on gas mileage and shits hitting the fan with it.

When I was purchasing about 6 months ago I knew a Tacoma would be better in the long run but I wasnt thinking straight.

I wanna save 2k-3k more, sell the Jeep for 5k and buy a 2005-2006 Pre runner for 10kish and finance the remainder.

    As far as mods go:

    Dark tint
    Performance exhaust
Black soft 8's with moderate knobbies
    Bed cover

Im a simple guy and I need something solid and more economical.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks bros

I've been in your shoes before and this time I bought the Tacoma because it is very capable off road and it has a practical side too.

Har har.... My mother-in-law has our previously owned Grand Cherokee (99 V8). We still maintain and fix it for her.

I wish someone would steal the damn thing or it would suffer a catastrophic failure. So far, we've been able to fix everything on it fairly cheap.:(:(
The thing is a frigin TANK and she's 75 years old and absolutely LOVES It.

Unfortunately you won't be saving that much more in gas, especially with the mods but more than makes up with dependability, looks, resale value, etc..
