Got my 52QT last night...I'm super impressed with this cooler. So, if you have been on the fence abou them and see them at your walmart pick one up. I will be putting it to the test this weekend. I can get pics if anyone wants.

I've had my Ozark Trail 73 qt for several months now and it's holding up well. We just returned home (NC) from a month long camping trip in southern Utah where beverages were kept in a 45 qt Pelican and food in the O/T. Temps ranged from freezing to high eighties and we had to add block ice every six or seven days to each cooler. I didn't notice any significant difference in ice retention between the two. I prefer the latches on the Pelican but the O/T has a better drain and comes with a basket. Both coolers took a beating in the bed of the truck with no failures and only a few scratches.

    Not Enough.
I picked up a 52 quart a couple weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Might get to break it in on the lake this weekend depending on the weather.

I was originally looking at the Coleman stainless, because my dad, brother, and a friend all have them.
My dad's is at least 10 years old, maybe 15, and still functions and holds ice like day one. But I know me and my adventures, which are a little bit more extreme than my dad's, and I hated to buy one knowing it was going to be subject to some decent abuse.

So I spent a few more dollars and decided to give the Ozark Trail a chance. We'll see. It'sthe most expensive cooler I've ever owned, but I also understand it is after all a Walmart house brand. So we'll see.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been thinking about getting a new cooler, don't really need a new one yet, but would like to upgrade from the not so great ones we currently have. I have looked at Yeti, Cabala's, this OT and a few others. The price of the OT compared to all the others seems way more logical and for the handful of times a year we would use it, a better financial decision.

Yeah but I had just bought leaf springs so I thought I shouldn't push my luck too much with my little lady. Maybe I can talk her into one for Father's Day???

I just picked up a 52 qt one. Here's hoping it was $147 well spent.

I have almost bought twice now, post up feedback and maybe the third time will be a charm.
