Day 1

Just opened the coolers for the first time since filling them yesterday. I'll begin to open them regularly now but here are picture updates.




I pulled out a bottle of water from the 73 but will begin to pull out something to drink from both coolers at the same time. The reason I'll open both coolers is to simulate using only one and to not artificially prolong the ice retention by alternating.

 

I can't find a 52qt anywhere near me. Anyone have a line on some. All sold out here.

Walmart online has them listed as "out of stock". I'd guess they will show up there before any retail stores.

 

In order to find these, I found that you have to search each stores inventory separately. Walmarts website search always says they're out of stock but when I checked the local Walmart inventory (the one that gets updated daily at midnight), they showed in stock.

 

You're right. I just searched about 5 Walmarts and some have them, some don't. Thx for the tip

End of Day 1

I've been in the coolers about 5-6 times today and they haven't been restocked yet. Not much ice loss in the 73 but you can already see the difference in the 26 since this morning.

Wow. The 73qt. is kicking ass!

 

They will probably be opened a couple more times tonight to pull drinks and restock. When I restock, I will break up the ice and put as much drinks in as I can.
