Thats pretty good for -200 bucks. How's your latches feel?

 

Is there a way to order spare parts for the cooler, maybe in the instructions?

I looked online, but couldn't find instructions for the coolers, just tents.

 

Latches feel good but I stopped pulling on them to open the cooler after seeing the post from @ramonortiz55.

The instructions for both coolers are in the car. I'll grab them and check later.

I think in the tumbler thread, somebody mentioned that these coolers were the same as another made for a different company and that the parts were interchangeable. They posted a link...may have to go back through that thread to see if I can find it.

 

Stupid question, but how can you release the lid without stretching and pulling on the rubber latches?

 

You can't but I used to pull up on the released latches to open the lid. That's what I stopped doing.

I think they are the same as a Bayou cooler.

If the latches are interchangeable with Ozark Trail, they are rather pricey at $30:

 

The Rtic does seem similarly priced, with parts readily available, like $5 for each replacement latch:

Seems there are several that use that type latch, but again I've read the OT are made by the same folks that produces Bayou coolers.

 

those latches had a name branding on them...
