I threw this out to the Colorado BSers, but thought I might as well ask all of TW for thoughts on tires.

I am trying to find $$ for a lift, but money is super tight, my LT265/75R16(C) DuraTracs are shot and need replacing, plus the timing belt and water pump are coming up on 100K in a few months. Trying to squeeze $$ out of grapes, I mean tire replacement. Also, figure I can get gas mileage back if I go back to OE 265/70R16 size, or even 245/75R16. Just today, I noticed DT has GY All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires in P265/70R16 for $124 ea. But, p-metric, so they do not have the 3PMSF snow rating. :annoyed:

    What would you choose:
    • Falken Wildpeak P245/75R16 (XL, 6-ply rating, 50psi, Service Desc 112T, 38.6lbs, 3PMSF) --OR--
    • Goodyear All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar P265/70R16 (SL, 51psi, 112T, 37lbs, NO 3PMSF)
I'm in Colorado, so the 3PMSF snow rating, while not necessarily a deal killer, is something I pay attention to.
