Hello, I recently installed fog lights to my tacoma SR and wanted to use an add a fuse to tap into a fuse under the steering wheel. I currently have it set up to fuse labeled P/Outlet 1 and it seems to turn on when the truck is on and off when it’s off. Is it a safe option to tap into this fuse?
As I have heard tapping into any IG or ECU fuses is a risk as it controls the main functions of the vehicle.

Wiring for the Fog lights is listed below (im using an add a fuse for the accessory power source bare wire)

I’ve used it before and how you have that wiring it should be fine. The fuse you’ve chosen isn’t an ECU fuse. That’s for a power outlet (cig lighter thing).

Thanks for your reply. So it is safe to run it through P/Outlet 1?

Yes. As long as you are running it to a relay (like your diagram) and not directly powering your lights.

    What he said ^

    In the photo above.
If #1 is hooked to the battery
And #6 is tapped to the P/O fuse, it should be fine.
