February I went on at trip got home only to find out my engine light came on. So I checked to see what was going on and got a p0012 code on my Toyota Tacoma 2008 2x4 with 230,000 miles manual.. It was mentioned to me to change the oil. Since then the light come on like at 200 miles, then I reset it came on at 662 miles. Been driving it from Tucson to Phoenix and the latest light incident came on after 742 miles of driving. It is not missing and timing seems good it runs great. The only thing is seen is that I changed my radiator hoses and on leak and/or splatter anti-freeze on connection of Position sensor. Below is a pic of the code I am getting. Any help would be great.

Typically, the P0012 code points towards an issue with the camshaft timing, which is controlled by the VVT system. However, if you're not noticing any other codes or noticeable issues, there's a chance that the problem is being caused by anti-freeze that may have splattered onto the camshaft position sensor during your recent radiator hose change. If the sensor or its wiring has been damaged or corroded, it could trigger the P0012 code and keep the engine light on.
