Hey guys just got a new to me 2011 v6 4x4 Tacoma, everything was fine with the truck until I done an oil change. The check engine light came on at about 40 mins of driving and it was showing on the dash check engine and traction control light at the same time. The code reads P0022 code bank 2 camshaft position sensor. I was reading it could be something else? I put 5.5 quarts of 5w 30 mobil 1 fully syn. oil like I do all my trucks I have owned. I never seen this code before and would hate to just start throwing money at something not knowing for sure. Whats got me is the traction control light with it. What do you guys suggest. Could it be the camshaft solenoid or the camshaft bank 2 sensor? Truck has 147k and looks taken care of. Any advice and or help would be wonderful! thanks so much!

Best case and most common it's a sticky Oil Control Valve (Relatively Common) or Clogged VVT Filter (Unlikely unless oil changes were neglected and/or poor quality oil was used), worst case it's a stretched/jumped timing chain or damaged/failed VVT Actuator.
    P0022 is for bank 2 (Driver's Side)
It is normal for the Trac Off light to come on with a CEL as the Traction Control System relies on the Engine Control System to be working properly, thus most faults in the Engine Control System will disable the Traction Control System and turn the light on.
Do you have any startup noise especially after sitting overnight? A stretched timing chain or failing tensioners typically will make a sharp rattle/knock on a cold start until the oil pressure comes up.

Was wondering if Graphic_Maker or anyone else has an update on this issue? I recently got the same TRAC OFF & CE Light (P0022 code bank 2) on a 2012 Tacoma V6 Automatic Double Cab with 196K. Considering some of the previously mentioned solutions (best case scenarios) but I was hoping to see an update from someone who's already managed to fix this.

Alot more discussion in the thread below, it's on bank 1 but concept is the same, first step is to verify engine oil level and condition as low or dirty oil can cause VVT issues.
