We replaced the ocv with an OEM part. Take a look at the comparison of how the valve bodies are installed on the OEM vs the aftermarket part that was previously installed.

here is a link to a video of how this one is working.

putting the car back together again now, will update after how it’s doing!

we are feeling hopeful that this fixed the problem. Thank you all so much for you advice and input it has really helped us out!

Yea that aftermarket valve looks way different and the machine work on it looks like crap. Probably an Amazon/ebay special.

Last update! The car is driving great and no more codes so far! Getting it smogged and registered tomorrow! Thank you again to everyone who contributed!

and to anyone else having a problem like this in the future: don’t buy an aftermarket ocv! Keep this part OEM and save yourself the headache and risk!

Thank you again and glad to say I’ll finally get to see y’all on the road!

    Aftermarket garbage strikes again.
    I been bitten myself too.

Damn, that was a lot of work. Only to find out it was a faulty part.

I try not to buy aftermarket "important" parts
Sounds like the previous owner installed it. He didn't do you any favors there.
