    Hello all,

I’m currently driving through Virginia on a road trip, spent a few days driving up and down roads in smoky mountain national park and on my way to shenandoah my check engine light came on. Went to an advanced auto parts and had them run it and it came back with a p0023 code.

P0023 is the OBD-II generic code indicating the Engine Control Module (ECM) has determined that the bank 2 exhaust camshaft Oil Control Valve (OCV) has an open or short circuit.

Went next door to an auto shop and a guy told me this is something he has seen on a few Tacoma’s recently. Any input on this? also what’re the reprucussions of continuing to drive on this, until I am home in CT.

    Thanks.
