P0101 CEL Code

    So my 17 TRD OR DC decided to throw a Check Engine Light Code today, P0101 TOYOTA - Mass Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance. I only hav 2200 miles...I'm assuming this has to do with my K&N CAI, checked it everything was snug. Anyone else had this issue or any advice?

    Remove your mass air flow sensor and clean it. The oil from the filter probably got it dirty. And if you take it it for warranty remove the filter.

    Agreed. take out the sensor, spray it with MAF cleaner (aerosol type can) let it air dry and reinstall. takes like 5 min. good as new.

    You can get better filter than K&N for instance the factory one.

    I've used K&N in the past on my race quads, some what different conditions I know, and they flow real well. As a matter of fact they flow too well, particularly dust. I had 2 filters while one was dirty and needed cleaning the other was ready to go. It sat for a week or so and got nice and tacky. So trust me it wasn't my maintainence regime.

    They wore the hell out of my slides in my carbs while a friend of mine with the same exact machine. His did not show any wear, 0! He used a dual stage foam, oiled filter from Prodisign. I als had to rebuild mine sooner and the cylinder showed excessive wear too.

    Those are 7+k atvs not a 30+k truck. Your money, your choice.
