Hello everyone new to this chat room.

I have a 1997 Tacoma, 2.7 with 245,000 miles. Recently it has been running rough and throwing P0171 (appears to be a catchall code) bank 1, P0300 engine missfire, and P0301 cylinder 1 misfiring. I have read through previous posts and I will start with cleaning the MAF sensor. There also appears to be a vacuum leak near or at the fuel regulator so i will probably change out the fuel return line coming off of the regulator ad well as rechecking all of the vacuum lines as well. Are there any other simple possible solutions that I could check before having to start replacing parts or sensors. Thank you for any advice

Fix your vacuum leaks first, clear codes and see how it runs. Large vacuum leaks will cause all of your symptoms.

I am chasing the p0171 in my 96 3.4L. I have used propane and carb cleaner to find a leak with no luck. Last night I hooked up a smoke machine and smoke was coming out of a tube behind the wheel well skirt in the passenger side wheel well. Anyone know what this tube is?
