P0172 Bank 1 rich and hard starts after stalling in 4 low

I swapped the injectors for a used set of the 95-97 metal body injectors. My long term fuel trims were in the -8.8 to -0.78 range driving around town yesterday

 

Is that good or bad?

 

Or is that what we're supposed to tell ya?

That is an improvement; I was seeing -18 LTFT before

 

Oh okay sweet. Huge improvement. That much fuel being pulled from mix though, is that a vac leak? Or is that within the tolerance of the ECU learning and correcting it okay?

 

Did you replace the injectors with the same earlier model injectors?

The 1999-2004 are a bit more flow rate

 

I swapped to the early injectors. I had the brown body ones from an 02 in it previously -- I swapped the engine from an 02 into the truck in 2016


It also seems to run a bit better now but that's so hard to judge

 

AFAIK it's supposed to be +- 10 percent so I am in spec now when I was not before

 

yeah that's a lot better than what it was
