P0301 Misfire cylinder 1. 2015 2.7L

Chasing a problem with a misfire on cylinder one only on my 2.7l tacoma. If I reset the code it runs fine, but it seems once the ECU re-learns then the problem comes back. Results in a rough idle mostly.

What I've done so far:
New plug
Swapped coils
Replaced coil( for my sanity)
Cleaned the MAF
Scoped the cylinder, was a little wet but didn't see anything odiously wrong.

Next up is the injector tomorrow, but it smelled as though it was running rich on startup, not lean.

Someone suggested the ECU, but I am hesitant to think that could be the issue without another code.

What else should I be looking at besides a compression test? It's not losing coolant so I believe the head gasket is fine.

 

Very doubtful it's the PCM, if it only misfires at idle I'd more suspect a compression issue.

I think start with a compression test and see if you have a low cylinder.

 

Compression is 120-130~ across the board. Low but doesn't vary too much.
