    1. I have an 07 Tacoma V6 that has a P0335 code: Crankshaft position sensor circuit malfunction.
This code appeared only when I stepped on the gas hard to pass a vehicle at hwy speeds (90 kmh) while under a load (towing a cargo trailer) The transmission went from Drive, to 1st or 2nd gear to pass this vehicle. The engine warning light has since disappeared and has not come back on since. Was this just a warning sign for me pushing the truck too hard, or is it something I should seriously get checked out? It's going to take over 3 hrs labour just to get at the crankshaft sensor to test!

We've seen this when older cars are pushed that don't see high revs very often. Possibly there's carbon build up or worn ignition.

When is the last time you changed the spark plugs, they have short intervals for replacement.

Why do you think spark plugs or ignition has anything to do with a crankshaft position sensor?
