Yep, that's exactly what mine looked like and the plug was noticeably looser than the others.

Why did you take that sensor out? You didn't need to.

I did the same thing. I got really excited after watching and reading a bunch of threads and videos. I decided to go for it and replace my spark plugs at around 75K specially since I had recently re-geared my truck to 5.29 since I'm doing a bunch of mods. So far that's all I have done. Since I bought a bunch of things for my truck this past Black Friday and everything is finally arriving I decided to start working on my truck, I'm the only owner and would like to be handy. Bought a bunch of tools and after the replacements my engine kept turning wanting to start. I almost lost it! Then it turned very smoothly but the CEL was on. I took it for a ride and it was smooth but it wasn't? kinda hard to explain. I did the same thing OP did and removed the sensor instead of the coil as they kinda looked the same (rookie mistake). Once again I was really excited about working on my first truck. I put it back and noticed it was hella torqued when I removed it. Maybe it wasn't? but I am about 120 lbs. I think I may have cracked it as well I also thought maybe I didn't torque it enough? I will order one just in case. Also I will update after my engine cools off and I remove it. Fingers cross it's only under torque. Anyone know the torque for it?

BTW I went to O'reilly's and I got code "PO365" Camshaft Position Sensor "B" Circuit (Bank 1). I replaced my spark plugs 4 times. First time I ordered them from Amazon, ordered the wrong ones. Removed them and the second time I ordered original, over torqued them maybe? The second time I ordered new ones and did them "properly", had the same issue. Went to O'reillys and got it scanned and took them off replaced them with new ones using O'reillys torque wrench at 13lbs. Store rep said Camshaft might be your battery. Codes just need to be cleared. Everytime I kept gettin CEL, same codes. 4th time replaced them started everything seems like the spark plugs the last 3 times are not the issue. Went back to O'reillys and different store rep showed me the Camshaft sensor picture. I then realized what my issue might be. I came to the forums to verify and it's hopefully confirmed that I may have cracked the little guy.

    :(

The only good thing out of this is that I'm not giving up!!!! I've decided to work on my truck and no way I'm going to Toyota for this. Everyone at the forums are always very helpful. Thank you guys!!!

    I will update shortly!

    *update*

Replaced the sensor I had cracked and everything is perfect! Runs hella smooth once again.
