    I have a 96 taco with a 3rzfe that's throwing a p0366 Crankshaft position sensor voltage range
This happened after I fixed a warped head. I have checked the valve timing and distributor timing and confirmed both are correct, made sure all my sensors were connected but it still isn't happy so it may be electrical or I could have messed up somewhere else. Also replaced the sensor because I had another one laying around. Thinking about taking it to a shop unless I can come up with something else to try. Not to good at diagnosing electrical problems and not even sure where to start

If the CS sensor was known “good” and bc recent head RR’d
I’m going to go with Timing

I did my best to reconfirm timing. I have the single colored link at the top of the upper timing chain gear, in align with the dot. I have the engine set to TDC on cylinder 1 and the match marks on the 2 cam gears line up. I tried to go through and clean all of the connectors to the relevant sensors but I'm not sure I hit all of them. Tried to talk to a shop about taking a look but they just told me I was probably a tooth off. I just want to confirm that my timing isn't off

It took me seeing the single colored link 10 times before it lined up in case anyone was wondering

After chasing wiring all over you were right, it was the distributor. I pulled it and put it in 4 times following the guide in the shop manual but I guess I still messed up. Eventually saw something and pulled the cap off and saw this at TDC
By putting the distributor in with the rotor almost vertical I was able to achieve this. Note the rotor completely covers the mark in the plastic

I hope this helps someone else because I am now INTIMATELY familiar with my wiring harness. I guess it was still able to pull itself into time because when I checked with a timing light it was on so I assumed I was ok so if you are having issues after pulling the distributor pull the cap - takes maybe 5 min
