P0440 and p0446 code

I’ve had the p0440 and p0446 codes for over a couple years and was wondering what is usually the main cause to fix it. I’ve had the fuel cap replaced, but that never fixed it. Has anyone ever had these codes together? If so, what did you do to fix them? Also, do you know if it is necessary to even fix these evap codes? What will happen to the truck if these codes don’t get fixed for another year?

 

EVAP solenoid. Sounds like the purge valve, or you have a crack in your charcoal canister

Replace vacuum hoses in your engine bay and at the charcoal canister. When I replaced my rear O2 sensor due to getting a P0420 code that cleared my P0446 code. I’ve never seen anyone else state the same worked for them but it did for me.

 

I have lived with these codes for years also.

Replaced parts include charcoal canister, fuel cap, vsv valve and filler neck. The codes are much less frequent now after all of that, but yeah the codes still pop up every couple months.
