P0446 Code

Greetings All,

On my 2004, 6 cylinder, auto Prerunner with 119k, I have a check engine light. I scanned for codes and received a P0446. From what my Haynes manual is telling me, this may be related to a problem near or at the charcoal canister. Tomorrow I am having my independent shop check things out and possibly perform a smoke test.

The last time I had a check engine light, I replaced the VSV switch with with a new one, and the check engine light disappeared for about 10k miles. I had also replaced the gas cap with OEM cap.

Wondering if others have found that a P0446 correlated to a bad charcoal canister?
