So I've been getting the code P0446 popping up for the better part of a year now. I have a 1999 Tacoma 3.4L, I haven't noticed it running any differently. The first thing I did was replace the gas cap, that didn't work so I replaced the Vapor Canister Purge Valve and that didn't get rid of it either. I'm considering replacing the Vapor canister next but I don't want to spend upwards of $250 if that's not going to fix it either. I've also heard that it might be the Vacuum Control Valve but I can't find any answers on where that is located. Any help or tips on this issue will be greatly appreciated, smog is a few months away and I need to get it fixed so it'll pass.

My grandson removed the canister box and checked for leaks by spraying soapy water and pumping (or blowing) air into it. He patched a seam crack with two-piece epoxy. I saved a lot of money, but he charged me a pepperoni pizza and soda. Good luck

I had an evap code with a '99 2.4l. I made a smoke "machine" with a rubber glove, rubber hose, and a cigar. Cut the tip of the middle finger off the rubber glove. Put the hose into the finger, clamp appropriately. Undo intake hose from throttle body, and slide the wrist of the glove around the throttle body. Light cigar, get it good and smoky. Blow smoke into the hose, the leak-the glove will inflate like a balloon, but should seal. Watch for the smoke leaking out of somewhere in the engine bay. Celebrate your discovery with the rest of the cigar!

That's a pretty hefty price lol, might be something I have to do to pass smog. I took the vapor canister out and yeah there's a crack at the bottom. Thank you for the tip

Thank you, I'm probably gonna replace the vapor canister because there is a crack at the bottom of it. But for the meantime try to seal up the crack to pass smog lol

Update: I ended up going the epoxy route with the vapor canister, I smogged it yesterday and it passed so thank you for the tips.
