I recently had the same codes on my 3rd gen. The culprit was the fuel filler hoses. Long story short, my truck has after market wide-body fenders and the filler hoses needed to be extended. Shop that did the initial install botched the filler hose extension & I had another shop fix it. So far no more codes.

I had the same code because of a bad gas cap on my 2013. After replacing the cap, it took several days and a few hundred miles for the OBD scanner to show "ready" on the EVAP test.

Yeah, something like this is still a possibility for me since that fender was replaced. They could have nicked the filler hose or left an evap line loose. Really hoping it was just the gas cap. It has been in the upper teen's to low 20's last few nights so maybe that helped loosen the gas cap even more.

Just to close this out. It must have been the loose gas cap. The check engine light never came back and the codes are no longer on the scanner.
