Sorry, I just saw this. It is not fixed yet. It's still throwing a P0705 code, and we still have the relay bypassed so I can start the truck, and it also still jerks into gear (not when going into reverse or neutral only when going into the drive gears). My husband replaced NSS twice once with a non-OEM and with an OEM. Didn't fix it. Replaced the amplifier (that was another error that it had been throwing up). Once he replaced the amplifier that error went away but we're still getting the P0705 code. I'm about to drive it off a cliff.

Hey how did you bypass the relay?

I'd check the wire harness for continuity. I also have a 2006. I took apart the front of my truck to get at the AC condenser and my horns fell off. The wire just crumbled. Gearcruncher shared that there was an recall on the harness/connector. If you replaced two switches, the likelihood of them both being faulty is low, imo. Can always just leave the jumper on, but then your truck won't be idiot proof, which would be bad for someone like myself
