So I fixed one issue and a new one arises. I recently installed bumpstops on my truck unplugged the battery as I had to weld a nut on a broken bolt to extract it. Got everything together put the battery back on it. Truck did the usual stall out on first attempt and then starts with low rpm (from what I read it's the compute relearning how it drives or something) then I put it in reverse and it stalled. Found it weird started it back up no problem CEL came on p0705. I erased it figuring it was a fluke drove for 3 days no CEL but everything I put the truck in neutral it dies. Let's say I park going from drive to park it will die as soon as it hits neutral unless I catch it quick enough. Drove to work like that for 3 days just avoiding neutral only seems to do it after driving for a while and boom today I went to put it in reverse died in neutral and CEL is back on. I did do some 4x4ing 2 weeks ago (we bust our local snowmobile trail in the spring) so quite a but of snow but it drove fine no issue. Now this is happening. I've read multiple things but nobody seems to have my exact issue. Everyone else there gear lights are staying on or the shifting is delayed or it only runs in neutral. Mine still shifts fine, the gear lights operate, just as soon as I put it in neutral the rpm will die right to 0. But it's only once and a while as it gets hot it seems to get worse its not a big deal especially if I can drive it to work just worried I hurt something else. Appreciate all the help. I suck with wiring and am planning to bring it to the garage but i work 13 days straight one day off. Tryna see possible troubleshoot solutions. Thanks.

When you put it in neutral does the tranny come out of gear or die in gear?

It feels like it comes out of gear and then it just dies. Lights up green N and then rpms drop. Sometimes I can watch it save it self in N it will rev to about 750 which I thought was normal idle then bounce to 1100 and sit there.

With the engine off, key on.
Put it in Neutral. Does the N on the dash light up?

I think this is going to be electrical.
Something is killing the engine when the Neutral circuit is energized.
The P705 is set when more than one gear selector signal is shown to be on at the same time.
Do you happen to have an ABS light on by chance?

No abs light used to be on but was cleared after changing a wheel sensor.

I've also heard it could be MAF issues or throttle body issues? Not quite sure though I bought the truck with a k&n intake I enjoy the sound but feel like it's a turd compared to stock I just don't have the stock one to put on.

P0705 - Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input)

Either of the following conditions is met:

    (a) Any 2 or more of the following signals are ON simultaneously. (2-trip detection logic)

•Park/neutral position switch input signal is ON
    •R input signal is ON
    •D input signal is ON
    •2 input signal is ON

    (b) Any 2 or more of the following signals are ON simultaneously. (2-trip detection logic)

•Park/neutral position switch input signal is ON
    •R input signal is ON
    •3 input signal is ON
    •L input signal is ON

    MONITOR DESCRIPTION

These DTCs indicate a problem with the park/neutral position switch and the wire harness in the park/neutral position switch circuit.
For security, the park/neutral position switch detects the shift lever position so that the engine can be started only when the vehicle is in the P or N shift position. When the park/neutral position switch sends more than one signal at a time from switch positions P, R, N
or D, the ECM interprets this as a fault in the switch. The ECM turns on the MIL and store a DTC.

Shutting down with low rpm is probably a throttle body cleaning or MAF Cleaning needed.

Can you keep it running in Neutral at all?
    Or does it just die.

I can keep it running if I catch it quick and give it a throttle shot. And it won't always shut off in neutral I just got to work and shoved it in neutral while driving and no issue seems to come and go but happens once or twice a day.

I have maf cleaner. Would that be alright to use on the throttle body as well or go for something else?

New CEL showed up P0335 crankshaft position sensor A? Bad sensor or something else could effect this?

Odd that it only happens in Neutral.
You’d think it would happen in Park too if it were the MAF.
It can’t hurt to clean it, but I’m still not convinced that’s the actual problem.

A scan tool would help. You could read the g/s and get an idea.
