Dear fellow Tacoma owners, I recently had a P11EC code diagnosed on my 2022 Tacoma. It drove just fine but my cheap code reader would would clear it but it would just come back on. I took it into a dealer up in N. Texas and they said it was bad gas and that the #1 cylinder fuel injectors were bad. So, I had the injectors replaced by the dealer not under warranty. I was no further than 2 miles down the road when the light came back on. What the hell! those dang guys didn't fix the problem. When I got home I put my expensive code reader on my truck and it said to take it in. Ugggh! Then I took my Tacoma into another dealer and within 15 seconds they told me that I had a sucked exhaust valve. I'm thinking what the heck did I just fork out $1700 dollars for? Under warranty the dealer replaced the passenger side head and #1 cylinder valves. Giant major engine work but no light since. So the first dealer misdiagnosed the problem and I was subject to a wallet tap!? I went into the original dealer and told them the story and basically too bad so sad. Nope!!!! Not good enough. Tried to contact the GM of the dealer.....crickets. Miffed, I sent a letter the the GM of Gulf States Toyota outlining the issue and eventually got a decent partial refund but I now own 2 brand new injectors that I shouldn't have to own in the first place. Take it from me and my experience beware of..... its bad gas....P11EC code in my case was a sucked exhaust valve. AND after internet surfing the issue, I'll lay the diagnosis clearly as the exhaust valve and the injectors as a money tap to my wallet.

Having the same issue right now… I just put in some fuel injector and hope that fixes it.

It won't. Is your 21 out of warranty? If not get it to the dealer...

It is under warranty, going to take it in Friday. Just was curious if it was a simple fix before I brought it in
