Hey everyone! I have a 2017 Tacoma SR5 with 36k miles on it. Recently the “check engine” and “Trac off” lights came on. When I brought it to the dealership they informed me that the codes read “your DTC codes are as follows
    P11EE00 #3 cylinder imbalance
    P160500 rough idle”

Below is a list of all of the parts being replaced under warranty. Has a home else had this problem? The truck has been serviced by Toyota every 5k miles.

    04111-0P193
    1EA HEAD GASKET KIT $ 560.14
    13715-0P030
    8EA EXHAUST VALVES $ 214.00
    13711-OP030
    8EA INTAKE VALVES $ 134.64
    11101-09550
    1EA CYLINDER HEAD $ 1110.96
    90250-08028 2EA STRAIGHT PIN $ 4.02

    PARTS TOTAL $ 2023.76
    LABOR TOTAL $ 967.93
    JOB TOTAL $ 2991.69

I’ve read a few members have so your not the only one...the codes tell them where to look a compression test and or leak down test would confirm a burnt valve which sounds like what you got.

Thanks for the reply! I’m worried that this may happen again. Or, the engine will have more similar problems down the road because of this.

Do you have an update on how your truck has been running since this repair? I am having the same repair done to mine in the coming weeks.
