READ THIS IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THE TITLE, AND YOUR TRUCK IS IN LIMP MODE

I have a 2012 4.0L with 69,000 mi. Driving about 40mph my truck dumped into limp mode. I did tons of research and came to the conclusion on 2012's it was a faulty part for the secondary air injector bank. (Whether it is the air pump or banks, it doesnt matter)

I have heard of extended warranties, etc. But in my case all warranties have passed, and i was on my own. Toyota quoted me $1800. I looked into doing it myself and the parts alone were $1000. I did some more research and came across this site www.hewitt-tech.com. THIS WAS A LIFE SAVER.

Paul is the owner of this company and they are taking advantage of Toyota's short comings. I purchased the plug n play bypass kit, paid 2 day shipping and was out the door at $397. Took an hour to install, emailed Paul (I had an install question, I live on the west coast, he is on east) at 7PM on a Wednesday and he got right back to me. I used my OBDII scanner to clear the codes, and my truck is back to 100%, and i will never have to worry about this failure again.

Save yourself the trouble of the dealer and time wasted researching (i already did it for you) and go straight to this website and get the bypass kit, I saved about $1700. www.hewitt-tech.com

Have you had any engine lights or problems since the install? I'm needing to do something with mine.
