Keep popping a P2445 for secondary air injection pump stuck off. From what I can gather it's a smog thing and since I'm not in Commiefornia anymore I'm not super worried about it. Anyone else get this to go away? The CEL is bothering me and I'm getting tired of clearing it every time I start the truck cold. I checked the connections to the pump and the sensor, not too knowledgeable on SAIS so don't really know where to start. Thanks ahead of time.

Dog friendly, with dog snot on inside windows, with of course a/c! Mag 16 inch wheels from a Mazda.
As the Second Generation Tacomas gets older more of these pumps and valve are going to go bad. I had my truck throw out a p2445 code. Contacted Hewitt-Tech about it, he stated his kit will take care of that code . Purchased the plug and play, even though you still have to solider one wire onto the blade of the starter relay. It's a little confusing which blade on my 05 4 cylinder truck. Found out it's the widest side silver blade facing the windshield. I was having problems with twisting the wire around it to make a good connection, so I file a spot nearest to the body and solider the wire to the blade. Now another code came up! Code po418 meaning a bad AIR INJECTION PUMP, when I now ask Hewitt about this. He stated you need a working pump or for $80 MORE! I can sell you a resistor, and you need to send me your pumps connector. I went ahead and purchased a used working one, everything is good now. So for plug/play, block off plates $225, wire ties, black plastic wire conduit , a used working pump $100, and about 6 hours of my time. I've got $335 invested in it! That's pretty good for jerry rigging it! Their's a company that started to rebuild the pumps, now that these trucks are going out of warranty. Got this, from a company with a CrossRef number for my truck, I have the 05 2.7l engine.http://www.carid.com/cardone/remanufactured-secondary-air-injection-pump-mpn-33-2504m.html
