Seems like issues only come up when you least expect them. I did some searching and didn’t find a similar issue.

Problem, Purchased an 18ft car hauler new last summer and initially towed it without a controller. I bought the P3 Controller and the plug and play harness. Install was very simple and the initial function check without the trailer worked fine. Fast forward 8 months after the trailer has been parked I finally get to test everything as a whole right before a 400 mile road trip. As soon as I plugged everything up the controller threw a “ no brake “ fault. I unplugged it and then it went away. 10 miles down he road I feel the brakes dragging and I stop. After thinking they were froze I finally figured out that when my turn signals are on the brakes kick on and off. I also figured out they grab when the headlights/ taillights are on too.

It’s currently raining outside, so I’m trying to do as much due diligence online before I jack the trailer up and go to work. I would6O assume the truck is wired right because it’s plug and play..so I would place my time to a wiring issue in the trailer probably.

Anyone have a similar issue? I’m thinking they may have tap the brakes to the wrong pin on the trailer plug? I’ve cleaned both ends and I see no visible issue at the plugs.

I figure I will check grounds first and then go from there.
