PA inspection question

I was cruising the dealer lot after hours last night and saw a 3rd gen I'm really interested in. I noticed the truck is a dealer trade from PA and it has PA inspection stickers on the windshield. Does PA issue inspection stickers prior to sale or is this truck a dealer return?

 

When you buy a new auto in PA it will be inspected when you pick it up.

 

To the best of my knowledge, it can't leave the lot without an inspection sticker. No real way to tell if it was a dealer return or not. The number of miles on it might give you some indication if it was a return. Why not call and ask the dealer that has it on the lot?

 

I'm pretty sure for them to let people test drive it around it needn't have its inspection stickers

The vehicle gets an inspection sticker once it's PDI'd. It gets PDI'd after it comes off the car carrier and before it is put up for sale. All of the cars on the lot should have inspection
