i just bought a cb radio for my 06 taco and want to alsso purchase a pa speaker for it. Im not very good on this subject so i was wondering if anybody has any suggustions on which pa speaker to buy. I would also appreciate if anybody that knows a lot about this could give me a breakdown of how it works and such.

I just bought a cheap I think 50w one from RadioShack. I have the option of adding an amp to it to make it louder, but I'm fine with how loud it is now.

I'm in the same boat but as I was looking into it if your cb radio cannot output 50w then I'm not sure how loud that speaker will be...might still work but maybe an amp would bring it to full power. my little cb says on 4w output...Midland 1001Z

I was actually looking at that exact speaker but waiting till I find out for sure if an amp would be required for it to even operate, even if not full powered.
