    Hi, TX-TACO-

The WildPeak A/T3W is not being discontinued, but it's possible certain sizes are. I'm happy to look into this further for you, what size are you running?

Not sure if it's just the fact that they are new tires, but already seeing better gas mileage with these than with my old stock tires.

I run them at 32 psi daily on my 4 Runner and they ride pretty smooth.

At 32 PSI they are very smooth. I put them up to 35 to test out the gas mileage and can definitely feel a difference in the ride.

How have the 285/70-17's worked out for everyone? I currently have Cooper AT3 275/70-17's on my truck. 2.5" in the front with 17x8 wheels (4.5" backspacing). I ordered P285 Falkens for my truck and my Fiance's Jeep. My 275's only rub the inner fender slightly at full lock in reverse, I hope the 285's don't hit the cab mount. I don't mind trimming some plastic but would rather not chop the cab mount.

That's awesome to hear! Usually, there is a decrease in MPG when switching from worn out tires to new tires.

    Happy to help!

This tire/size/load range is not discontinued and is available through most of Falken's distribution centers. This is a very popular size so I don't see it getting the chop anytime soon

I dropped off the truck this morning to get the 285/75/17 10ply mounted up. Will post up pictures/initial impressions after driving around on them for a of couple days. @Discount Tire Direct will this size be discontinued?

Yeah I agree, 35 is stiff. I don't mind too much, but a few of the roads around here are crappy and then it gets a little annoying.

    Hey Greg,

I run a set of p-rated 285 70r17, and while stiffer feeling than other P-rated tires I have run in this size, they are not as stiff feeling as any LT I have ever run. They are also slightly heavier than most other p-rated tires in the same size IIRC. That said they are also a bit stouter.

BTW, I still have a few of your old decals designs stuck around here and there.

I tried to get some photos but daylight savings ruined that, I'll take some decent ones tomorrow. First impression is SMOOTH! It's raining tonight so this was a great first test. The truck really hugged the road, I gave it more gas then what I normally would coming out of wet curves and it stayed planted and in control. Maybe it's because I'm coming from 275/70/18 Toyo Open Country M/Ts but these felt so much more supple over minor road bumps and railroad tracks, night and day difference. Excited to take them up into the hills this weekend and see how they handle in deep snow while tinkering with psi.
