@ragincajun35 recently went from ST Maxx to these. Not sure what his opinion is though.

    Good to know.

I think comparing the A/T3W to the STMaxx is a bit of an apples to oranges comparison though. They are in different categories, with the STMaxx being on the more aggressive side. The Cooper AT3 is a more comparable tire in my opinion.

I’ve had great luck and experiences with Cooper. As much as I loved my STMaxx, they are heavy and I don’t ‘need’ that aggressive of a tire anymore. Although it looks BA.

I like the look of the Falken over the Cooper AT3, and they are getting good reviews. But it sounds like they come with a weight penalty, which is what causes my hesitation.

I just bought these wheels. Waiting for the lugs to arrive, then to find a place to the tires off of my factory wheels and put them on these. Do you know if the wheel lip needs to be mounted on the wheel before being balanced?

Is there any tread differences between the E rated tires and the regular ones? Thanks!

These tires are still doing great after about 5k miles. I off-road a few times EVERY week. These are the standard load not E rated... Still no issues with all my abuse.

    I have roughly 12/32nds on all 4.

I prefer the falken atw3. I had bad luck with the coopers wearing poorly.

I'll be picking these up sometime soon, current Nitto Terra Grapplers are coming up on 50k. Wanting to do small lift first though.

Just put in P265 75R16 Wildpeak AT3W. I'm noticing a bit of rubbing at full lock. I haven't removed the mud flaps. Do I need to remove those first?

The Cooper Discoverer AT3 in C or E load is shaping up to be the longest lasting fleet tire I've ever run. Great traction as well. That being said, I'm leaning toward the Wildpeak AT3W to be my new off-road fleet tire.

Noted. Mine wore well. Had around 30k on them when I sold the truck. I felt confident they had another 20k of tread life left.

My dad and I both have had great experience with the C load AT3 in terms of performance and tread life. I’ve had a couple sets, he’s on his second or third set.

What aspect/s of the Falken A/TW3 are liking better than the Cooper AT3?

Yes, we recommend that the rock ring be installed prior to balancing

Tread design wise there is no difference between the SL construction and LT construction. The LT construction, though, has more tread depth when compared to the SL (~4 /3nds).

Congratulations on the new wheels! Which model did you go with?

As far as deals go, there are no upcoming WildPeak A/T3W promotions that I am aware of - if this changes we'll be sure to post up the details

Thank you for that answer. My local NTB said they don't have special equipment for mounting tires to aftermarket wheels. She sounded like she was afraid of damaging the wheels. I called another local wheel/tire place (Jack Williams) who said to bring them in for him to take a look. So I'll be swinging by there on my way home this afternoon.

I'm surprised you were told that. The Level 8 Pro wheels are not bead locks so standard mounting machines can be used.

More overall off-road traction. Not that we've had any problems with the Cooper AT3, but the Falken AT3W digs in way more with the more aggressive tread and sidewall. And they are considerably cheaper. I really try to spend taxpayer money on American made products when I can, but there's also a cost/benefit analysis, especially with my paltry budget.
